As part of my research into the Land Girls in WW2 I wanted to do an immersive weekend. With the help from a few friends, we made it possible. It’s all well and good researching by reading from a book but now I feel like I know the girls better by waking up and feeling the same aches and pains as they did, struggling through the long hours, and dealing with the same problems but we definitely still had fun doing it.
